Abstract

One of themost frequent endodontic mishaps is theseparation of theendodontic instrument in the rootcanal. It often results from incorrect use or overuse. A fractured instrument inside a rootcanal can affect theoutcome of an endodontic treatmentas it interferes with theproper debridement and shaping procedures as well as with irrigation of thecanal portion apical to thelevel of obstruction. One of the orthograde approaches recommended to manage a separated instrument is its removal from theroot canal. Masserann Kit is onesuch device for orthograde removal of intracanal metallic obstructions. A Masserann kit is a hollow tube device specially designed for the removal of intracanal metallic objects from the root canal.
